MAY 21 2010

We're already over halfway through the first ever Nitro Circus Live Tour and so far the tour couldn't be going any better. Every show has been sold out and they've had to put extra shows on sale. The tour has been so much fun to ride and it's great to be part of a show that has so much variety.

There were a few crashes and injuries early in the tour where we were all lucky to escape injury after one of the riders went down at the front of the flip train and took a few guys down with him. It was also tough to see our buddy Rob Adelberg go down so hard in the sydney show resulting in a broken jaw. Hopefully he'll be back for this weekends show in Adelaide. All the riders have stepped it up a level too and the crowds are witnessing tricks never seen before in Australia including 360 combos and Body Varials.

If you haven't got tickets for Melbourne I'd suggest you do because the 3rd show will probably sell out quickly. The rider lineup will have the addition of my good mate Mike Mason to it so the show is gonna be a rippa!

MEDIA RELEASE – STEVE MINI TOURING WITH THE CIRCUS IN PERTH THIS WEEKEND

Gold Coast based Freestyle Motocross (FMX) Rider Steve Mini will arrive in Perth, Western Australia today to take part in his sixth sell-out Nitro Circus Live Tour event.

Mini plays an integral part in the Nitro Circus Live Tour alongside action sports great Travis Pastrana, both on and off his Showtime Yamaha YZ250. Fondly known as the ‘combo king’ his vast array of tricks are among the best in the business and shine regularly throughout the 3 hour action sports extravaganza. Off stage, Mini were a key component in assembling the best in Australia’s FMX community to ride with him alongside the greatest FMX rider of all time.

2010 began with a less than ideal start for Mini, when he suffered multiple serious fractures to his right leg and ankle. The injury saw a rejuvenated Mini return to riding three months later and in time to join the ‘Circus and has since been dazzling fans Australia wide in what is the fastest selling action sports tour of all time. The injury still bothers Mini today, however the lure of being on tour is just too much for the kid from Mudgee, NSW to resist.

“The (Nitro Circus) Tour is easily the best show I’ve ever been involved in. The shows are so much fun and the people we are working with are just awesome. My ankle is still really sore, but as long as I can ride there’s no way I’m going to miss a thing. I’m just so stoked to be a part of it.” Steve Mini said.

This Saturday night May 22) the Nitro Circus team will perform in the Burswood Dome, Perth, before moving back to Adelaide on May 28 and 28, then concluding in Melbourne on June 4 and 5.

March 2010: Hey what's up everyone?

The past few months have definitely been hard after breaking my leg in 7 places but im starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel and can get back on the bike over the next few days. The original plan was to get back on just in time for the Sydney Royal Easter Show. I've done the show for the past 6 years and it's one of my favourite shows to do so I really didnt want to miss it. After speaking to my doctor he told me that one of the seven breaks hasn't healed too well and he suggested i wait another few weeks before riding. So unfortunately i'm going to miss the first week of the show and hopefully I can ease back into things over the next week and get ready to do the last 8 days of the show.

The break from riding has been tough. I'm usually really motivated at the start of the year so it was a tough time to have such a serious injury but in a way it's been good because i'm now going to come back more motivated than ever. Last year i filled the year with comps and shows and barely had enough time to do anything else except travel and ride. This year i've decided to step back a notch and do less overseas travel and spend more time on the bike learning new things and just having fun. So I'm excited for whats going to happen this year. Nitro Circus Tour is easily going to be the best show ever to hit Australia. I've seen the show plan and there's a lot of surprises there and the whole show has a really cool, fun feel about it.

So that's all for me, I hope to see some of you guys at the Easter show so make sure you come say hi.

later,
Mini
